At AMac stores, it is nearly impossible to properly test an iPhone before purchase. Most devices are firmly fixed to stands and cannot be picked up. The few models that can be detached are locked in bulky metal holders that cover the phone from all sides, making the back almost invisible. As a result, it is impossible to evaluate the design, shape, weight, or how the device feels in hand.
When I politely asked to hold the iPhone 17 and iPhone 17 Pro to decide which model to buy, the staff member told me this was not possible because I might steal the phone. Hearing such a response when considering a purchase of around €1600 is unacceptable. This is not the level of service expected from a store selling premium devices. For comparison, when buying a car—which costs many times more—customers are offered a test drive.
As the cherry on top, before even receiving this rude response and being denied the chance to try the phone and make an on-the-spot decision, I had to wait nearly 30 minutes. There was only one staff member, the line was long, and many people simply left. We waited, only to walk away with nothing.
In other stores, phones are also protected against theft, but with a compact cable that still allows customers to pick up the device and comfortably evaluate it. At AMac, however, customers are only offered to look at the screen. But what is the point of visiting a store if you cannot test the key features of the phone before buying? In that case, it is far easier and more convenient to simply order the device online through the Apple Store website or app.
As a result of the staff’s behavior and the store’s policy, AMac lost a sale, lost profit, and damaged its image. Apple itself may also have lost revenue, as people—including myself—chose another manufacturer instead. I will never return to this store to buy anything again, and I do not recommend it to anyone, because apart from rudeness and a complete lack of service, you will find nothing there.
I bought your computer 11 months ago, and just now I figure out that my display has a problem, I come to the amak and they fix everything, changed the display. My computer now like you again. Really good service.
