I entrusted this PC to someone for peace of mind, thinking it would be assembled correctly.

Five years later, while changing the thermal paste, I discovered that the plastic film under the heatsink had never been removed…

The processor (Ryzen 9 3900X) ran at high temperatures the entire time. I thought that was normal given its power, but no: the cooling was completely compromised.

Such a basic mistake is hard to excuse. Disappointing; I wouldn't recommend it.
