Stayed in this castle for a week with family. Very large, fit my whole extended family with rooms to spare! Beautiful greenery and a lake you can canoe in. Would 10/10 recommend, it has so many things for the little ones like a trampoline and a play room.1

Nice historic building. Especially the master bedroom on the first floor is very luxurious. It's a child friendly place, with lots of equipment provided for games on the lawn (badminton, jeu de boules etc). There is an indoor swimming pool but we found the water to be uncomfortably cold. A quick dip, that was it. While we were there, there was also an extreme number of flies present, we're talking hundreds. We went into town and bought several fly traps (see pic), but these should have been provided by the owner (or better yet, he should have averted the fly plague). All in all, a nice place for a weekend with a small group.

Château de Tharoul: Wonderfully reconstructed rural palace with excellent interior and exterior. Outside seating, swings on trees, boats on pond, pool with salty water.. Everything we needed for great wedding weekend.
