After a double stay in a crisis bed at the CHR, our daughter was lucky enough to join the Athanor. And in all objectivity, we must recognize the exceptional work of their teams. Dr. Polis is an extraordinary psychiatrist, remarkably intelligent and sometimes also disconcerting... ;-) He and his team managed to pinpoint the causes that led our daughter to collapse. And to make us realize it, as a family... by taking the time, it's important. Their supervision, coupled with that of the CHR hospital with which they collaborate, allowed her, if not to completely recover, at least to be able to get back on her feet and get back in a better state. The place is magnificent, too, with this central greenhouse that lives summer and winter. In short, a huge thank you to Dr. Polis and the supervisory staff (we met a good ten of them, all driven by the same kindness), your intervention was a great help to our family. Thank you for what you have achieved, and good luck in this wonderful mission, which is really not easy on a daily basis!

L'Athanor, I'm 16 and a half years old. I went there a month ago for depression, self-harm, and other issues. The counselor was nice, and so was the psychologist, but the psychiatrist was always busy with "more important" things than us. We were mixed in with people who drink and smoke drugs, with people suspected of having schizophrenia who hear voices, etc. I couldn't last more than 3 weeks because the days are hard: going to bed around 11 pm and waking up around 7:30 am. Very little sleep for someone who is unwell and needs rest. The other young people are nice, but it depends on the group dynamic. I would recommend it if you can't stand the sight of your family anymore, but I wouldn't recommend it if you are close to your family.
